Classic Monochrome introduction Unless otherwise stated all these pieces are kiln wasters excavated at the kiln site by villagers. Most of the pieces came from one clay pit into which, perhaps, a whole kiln load that had gone wrong was tipped. We watched the wares being retrieved, day after day, in 1980. Few of these monochrome, cloud-grey celadons have been found elsewhere. |
